Photo: Super Moon through the Palm Fronds

Taking advantage of the extra large moon last weekend, here is a photo of the moon, providing backlighting to silhouette one of the palm fronds from our front yard.

Lacking the motivation to travel to a more dramatic location, there were only a few alternatives for photographing the moon when limited to our front yard.  There is the plain moon, or the moon through palm fronds, or the moon through Argentine mesquite leaves.

We have new travel photos posted at Viva la Voyage from our wonderful trip to Buddhist Bhutan.

It is a work of art! The moon is a perfect lightbox for any silhouette.
