Photo: Mesa Arts Center

Here is a photo of the Mesa Arts Center. It is a fabulous facility with many architectural details.

Last night, ww enjoyed Yo Yo Ma, who is a superstar cellist, along with Kathryn Scott on the piano, the Assad Brothers on guitars, and Joseph Gramley on percussion.

They played technically challenging pieces from Brasilian composers so the music was amazing.

We have new travel photos posted at Viva la Voyage.  This week we are sharing photos of Bhutan, which is in the Himalayas next to Tibet and located between India and China.

Yo Yo Ma is wonderful in performance, isn't he. no matter how big the venue, he makes each member of the audience feel as if they are in an intimate setting and he is playing just for them. what a gift.

The Mesa Arts Center is a wonderful facility. It brings talented artists to perform in the area. We attend the National Geographic lecture series there. It was also the site of the Republican Presidential Candidates Debate a couple of months ago.

You've made me feel just a bit ashamed of myself. After all those years I lived in Mesa and worked and contributed to get this facility built,I've never been there. As you know, I moved before it was built and moved on to contribute to my new city of Phoenix. I'm glad it was finally completed and it looks gorgeous in your photo. I'll have to make a point of getting out there to see it for myself.
