Photo: Night Prickly Cactus

Photo: As we walked the gardens at night, we saw this beautiful prickly pear cactus lit up. It makes for an interesting photo.

I really enjoy going to the Desert Botanical Garden at night. The cacti look so interesting and so different from the day time.

And we are walking around at night in December for the Luminaria festival and it is not too cold.

Enjoy travel photos of the Grandeur of Bellagio Villas on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

It is a good thing this is lit up. One would not want to bump into this cactus while walking around at night.

Illuminated cactus is a good thing. I agree with Dave, one wouldn't want to walk into something thorny.

I had a golf buddy that fell into one of these cacti. Don't ask; was not a great experience!

Isn't it wonderful living in a place where you can walk around comfortably at night? It makes all the difference.

I know little about cacti, so I keep a polite distance from all of them.

These are my favorite kind of prickly pear to look at, something about their texture is quite appealing.
