Photo: Tempe

Here is a photo looking from Scottsdale to Tempe.

This is the Tempe Butte and these are office buildings and condos in front of the Butte and there is actually water below.

The water is running in the Salt River but it is blocked with an inflatable dam, otherwise no water would remain.

Check out our travel photos of the magical lands of the Atacama desert in Chile at Viva La Voyage!

From the angle of this photo, the green palm trees in the foreground are probably on the grounds of the Phoenix Zoo in Papago Park. And just barely visible on the left behind Tempe Butte is back side of the sky boxes for the Arizona State University football stadium.

This looks very much like the view you see when traveling on the freeway into Tempe! I've been in one of those condos and they are very nice with wonderful views.

Great shot Julie, I like how the mountain behind looks like a softer shadow of Tempe Butte.
