Photo: Phoenix Skyline at Sunset

As part of my series on Arizona postcards, for those who like a more urban photo, here is a photo of a vibrant sunset with the Phoenix skyline.

Urban photos are appealing to some, while others like the outdoor natural scenes for postcards.

Check out travel photos of the fabulous architecture of the actively used Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, Spain at Viva la Voyage!

I prefer cacti in the foreground of desert sunset shots. Your photo today raises the question: has Phoenix developed a recognizable skyline? If it were not for the desert sunset, would people outside of Phoenix know that this is Phoenix? I doubt it.

Wonderful orange and the twinkle of lights in the city.

I am curious what the answer to Dave's observation is. But, then again, I am not really familiar with the Phoenix skyline. Maybe the question is, how many cities DO have skylines that are recognizable to outsiders? It is probably just a handful.
