Photo: Animal Bridge at Hoover Dam

And, the new Hoover Dam and roads cause disruption to wildlife so actual animal bridges were built.

All types of animals cross over the roads using these bridges to avoid traffic.

Sometimes people even see bighorn sheep cross the bridge. I obviously did not get to capture any animal on the bridge for this photo.

Check out fabulous travel photos of our recent trip to Yosemite National Park at Viva la Voyage!

That was very considerate of them to build that Julie, I wonder if at certain times of the day, like early morning or evening the animal traffic would be more prolific?

I'm amazed by this photograph and the story behind it.

I guess now the desert bighorn sheep parents have to teach their children "Always cross at the bridge" instead of "look both ways before trying to run across the highway."

I read in the newspaper that within a day of opening the bridges the animals were using them.
