Here you can see the large Hoover Dam and Lake Mead with its current bathtub ring.Because there has not been as much rain and the lake has been evaporating, there is this ring showing how low the lake is.
The ring looks odd.

This is a great view from the new bridge that was not possible before.
Here is a question about the "bathtub ring" around the lake. Is it white in color because it has washed away dirt or other coloration from the rock? Or is it white because it has added calcium deposits to the rock?
I suspect it is the latter.
