Photo: Bishop's Flower

My Bishop Cactus finally bloomed.

Here is a photo of a Bishop's Cactus flower.

These are funny cactus with skin that serves as sunblock. The cactus does look like a Bishop's hat.

What I like in this cactus is the texture which looks like "skin." The flower is really nice.

Another huge flower that is out of proportion to the size of the cactus from which it blooms.

I've never seen this one in bloom. You have to really watch for it to catch it before it's gone. Beautiful yellow color.

I actually have a small one I got from the arboretum and Yes, it does look just like a bishop's cap...mine doesn't have a flowers though...I'm jealous, Hmmph!
