Photo: Lovebirds

We are so glad to see that the very bad freeze we experienced this winter here in the desert did not kill all of the lovebirds.

The Peach-faced lovebirds had been thriving here in the Valley of the Sun, but the recent winter freeze was very devastating to animals and tropical birds. We do not know how many survived.

Today is Travel Sunday so check out the beautiful photos of Norway at Viva la Voyage!

Not a chance for them to hide in the grass with their beautiful colors!

Somewhere, I don;t think of the desert areas as having freezing winters. Glad to hear the little birds are alright.

We have six in our neighborhood. For about 6 months now. They like my backyard and chatter at me when I'm gardening. I call them unicorns, because for the life of me I can't get a decent shot of them. 32nd and Thomas
