Theme Day: Time

Here is a photo of a home from an earlier time.

Although Arizona has grown fast during the past 50 years, we were given a perspective on time due to our Native American heritage.

Here is a photo of the remains of a Native American cliff dwelling that dates back 1,000 years or more.

The red rock and desert varnish above the cliff dwelling also provides a reminder about time.

For the Euro-centric culture prevalent in the USA, your interpretation of the theme of time highlights that we should have a much longer perspective.

I've been to one of these things in Arizona, but I can't remember the name of it. Not surprising, I can hardly remember my own name.

Lovely photograph, and a nice look back in time.

Sounds as though you've been having a great time traveling about the world!

Anasazi?
It looks so tiny.

The person in the photo certainly shows the scale of the cliff. Until I enlarged the photo I had no sense of how large it really was.

That gives a different meaning to time, doesn't it? I love the vivid orange color.

Looking at the original photo it sure looks massive. I wonder how life was here back then.

Now I envy you: I've not been to Easter Island! :-) Can't wait to see the shots you've taken there.

I wonder how was it to live underneath that massive rock, source of energy or just a shelter. Beautiful and poetic image!
