Photo: Praying Monk on Camelback

This is a photo of a special landmark on Camelback Mountain called "Praying Monk."

I took it at sunset so you can see the glow on the rock, cactus, and palm tree.

I took it with a cool kelvin temperature for white balance and then did some post work to get this brilliant color and profile.

The gentle painting of light on the rock, palm and cactus is delicate.

You've got some beautiful photography here, Julie. Love the sliver moon, too.

This photo is amazing, especially with the charcoal border. I love the composition's angle down the page. Is cartoon sky just black for everyone else? Am I missing something? Or, are you joking with us?

Well, Julie, I am impressed! This is a fantastic piece of work; and you are an artiste! This could easily hang in museum...and should.
