The Heard Museum

Here is a photo of a part of the Heard Museum.

You can see the Spanish architectural style of the buildings.

The Heard Museum is a large complex. It has interactive museum exhibits, has numerous exhibits of Native American art and cultures, outdoor courtyards, the Berlin Gallery of contemporary art, and the outdoor amphitheater where many Indian competitions occur including the famous Hoop Dances.

Check out photos of the Kids and Animals of Tanzania, Africa at Viva la Voyage!

I visit museums whenever I'm in a different city, and because it's been years, nay...decades, since I've been in Phoenix, I have missed this one. Perhaps I should remedy that soon!

Nice capture, looks like a nice museum. I hadn't 'heard' about it before.

The Heard is a wonderful museum. It has been expanded several times during the 28 years I lived in the Phoenis area, including the addition of the building that Julie has shown today.

This is one place that's been pretty high on my list of to-gos for years now. I really liked yesterday's shot.
