They Went That Away

Here is a photo of Saguaro ribs that are standing after the Saguaro cactus has died and the fleshy outer layers have deteriorated leaving behind the saguaro ribs standing like an Egyptian Sentinel to be a tombstone to mark the life and death of a saguaro.

In hiking on trails in the Saguaro National Park in Tucson, you see many interesting sights of nature.

This week, the photos on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site features the Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Enchanting.

It's almost as if I'm feeling their souls.

You have a gift to see special details with unarmed eye and show them to us.

Very nicely said, Carolyn. They are somehow still majestic. Great photo.

And so the cycle of nature continues.

I've enjoyed all your postings on the saguaro. Remember I found one in the Exotic Gardens of Monaco?

This is extraordinary tho. I didn't know this happened. Lovely shot.

Fascinating! I've never seen a dried up saguaro before. Your gorgeous photo makes it look like a piece of sculpture!
