Blue Fiddlehead and Old Man Cacti

A Blue Fiddlehead among Old Man Cacti at the Desert Botanical Gardens.

This photo is from the Chihuly exhibition called "The Nature of Glass."

The glass art is vibrant blue and the contrast with the white, hairy, old man cacti is perfect.

The glass looks like it would be hard to create. The glass has to be strong to stand in the gravel and not tip over or break because of the wind.

Check out photos of Merida, Mexico at Viva la Voyage!

It certainly looks very fragile and in a precarious position.

I took quite a lot of pictures at the exhibition over the months it was there, but this is an angle I didn't photograph. It does make you think of the strength of the glass.

Very nice contrast of color. The old man cactus is one of my favorites.

Fantastic, as always.

I love how Chihuly has done these garden installations all over the place (London, St. Louis, etc.). They're marvelous.

Makes me wonder where's the top or whether everything might be seen upside down. Interesting for sure to see. Please have you all a wonderful Friday.

Blue is my favorite color and I especially like this shade. They caught my eye right away when they were on display up here. Nice job Julie!
