I truly do not know how those of you who live in the truly cold parts of the world tolerate the cold.
I love our Arizona sunshine and am content to occasionally visit cold countries to play in the snow and the return to the desert for warmth.
It is true that Arizonans have thin blood so we really cannot handle cold weather at all.
I am often in a full coat, scarf and gloves even if it is only 50 degrees. My husband always makes fun of me as I bundle up at the slightest bit of cold.
This is the last photo in my series from the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess resort.
Speaking of cold winters, check out our travel photos of Vienna at Christmas at Viva la Voyage!

Ah, Julie, it isn't too bad; one gets used to the weather, she says as she often wings to warmer climes in the winter. The photo makes our snow scenes pale by comparison!
Well it's that "dry heat" of the summer in Arizona that I wouldn't be able to tolerate! But, I wouldn't mind visiting Arizona now for a week or two and have someone else shovel my driveway and sidewalk!
The chimney itself looks as if it is cozy and made of pillows.
Cold weather is only fun when you know you have a warm place to go home to!! I love this outdoor fireplace. I bet it's popular in the evenings.
You would be bundled up here this morning Julie since it got down in the 20's last night. That's pretty chilly for us here in north Fla! This hotel is lovely. I have posted some pics on my blog today of the lobby of the hotel I stayed in 2 weeks ago in Chicago if you are interested!
Now, that's a beautiful photo...and from below too. Have a blessed New Year from L.A.DP
You are right, Julie, it's absolutely cozy! Lovely pic.
Yes, we do enjoy this lovely weather now, but we do have the super hot summers to look forward to. Great looking fireplace.
To be honest, it is the cold temperature that I do miss and snow more than all.
Please have a wonderful Wednesday.
Now that is a very unusual fireplace - looks like a pizza oven.
Cheers.
