The Doors at the Boulders Resort & Spa

For the theme day of doors, here is a photo of the very unique doors at the Boulders Resort and Spa in the Scottsdale and Carefree area.

The door shows boulders mirroring the surrounding area. The door is wood carved. You can see the reflection of a giant saguaro cactus in the glass at the top of the door.

To see more of this spectacular resort and surrounding boulders, at labels, just click Boulders Resort and Spa.

Today is Sunday so that means travel photos . Check out photos of the Sydney Opera House at Viva la Voyage!

Today is theme day for all City Daily Photo bloggers.

How incredible. Modern, yet so beautiful, so in keeping with the place. Love it!

These doors are a work of art. The wood grain is beautiful. The arrangement of the wood do resemble the boulders of the surrounding area is very creative. The blending of the wood with the glass top is seamless.

Some Navajo rugs on the walls are visible through the glass, in addition to the reflection of the plants outside.

Great choice for theme day.

How beautiful. I'm not a great fan of spas, but I might change my mind with this one. A lovely blend of functional and artistic.

BTW, interested to see Cassini-Huygens on your NASA tracker today. We visited JPL in 2000 and saw the Cassini-Huygens prototype craft, as well as visiting the Deep Space Mission Control room. We Scots don't use the word 'awesome' much, but this WAS awesome.

Glad You enjoyed the Scots :).

Amazingly beautiful door. Craftsmanship perfection. I'd love to see it open to see the cactus behind! Such a good choice for today's theme.

You are right ... this is unique doorway. Thanks for visiting my blog. I do hope you get to visit the Blue Mountains one day ... I spent a wonderful week driving around Arizona some years ago, the scenery was spectacular.

Beautiful photo .. I remember a similar photo from Lisi who published Hong Kong Daily Photo for years .. her photo was also the doors leading to a spa .. her title was the doorway to heaven .. the spa name was something along the lines of heavenly spa .. happy theme day.

Oh BTW--I guess my doorway is a conventional residential doorway but I don't live in a residential area---I live out in the country mostly alone. MB
