The Glow of Chihuly's Saffron Tower

Such a squiggly neon glowing saffron tower that Chihuly has created.

My husband, Dave of Costa Rica Daily Photo, decided to stand in front and make a statement.

I liked the photo of him and the Tower. I think most people liked interacting with this art installation.

You could see the glow of the Saffron Tower amid the red Papago Mountains for quite a distance.

It reminds me of my youth when we would go build fires in the desert and have a party.

Ok, now which Saffron Tower photo do you prefer, today or yesterday's?

Love the yellow

I really like this shot, my initial thought was of worshipping a ray of light from the heavens above. The shadow of your husband against the vibrance of the yellow makes it so striking.

Like some kind of light or fire worshiping. This photo could have been taken at the Burning Man Festival... Amazing.

I like the previous one, sorry Dave (even though my name's Dave, too).

Don't get me wrong, they're both terrific, but I like the close-up effect.

I like today's the best. That is quite a statement.

Having someone stand in front of the tower really gives a good sense of how big this thing is. Great idea and great pose!

It looks like he has wings!

Well, this was a surprise to find that a image of me is posted today. I will not be offended by anyone who thinks that the person in the foreground is obscuring and cluttering the image. It does show the exuberance of art, which can inspire one to not act his age.

Jarart, what looks like wings is the back of my open jacket hanging down.

Like Rob, I was thinking of Burning Man. Great photo Julie, and nice work on your "supermodel" debut Dave.

i like both. but if made to really choose one, i'd always prefer the one with a human figure. always adds some drama to a photo. :-)

Another brilliant moment in time, when one seems to rise above the ground, that holds one down.
If I had to choose, would like to pick this one, showing human strength and ability to create art, such as yesterdays photography.

This is a great shot, made even richer and more complex by the addition of 'the model' in front.

Today's. The celebratory silhouette of your husband makes all the difference.
