You can see Saguaro cactus laden with fruit and flowers on top next to the red glass works of art. The bats come at night to pollinate the flowers on top of the Saguaros.
Chihuly's glass art exhibition at the Desert Botanical Gardens is now over, but I will have photos to share for the foreseeable future.

Amazing. I was trying to imagine what those red things were and what produces them. The bird was an added mystery. Then I read the post and understand. Nice picture.
Wow.
Fantastic, Julie! The composition couldn't be better. Great job!
Great capture. I love watching the birds peeking out of the holes in the side of the saguaros but haven't been satisied with any of my photos of them yet.
Amazing what a little wee bird and a dash of red will do to a photograph.
That red really stands out. Love this photo.
Well how amazing is this?! Fabulous Chihuly and then a bird to make it even more so. Fabo.
You timed that one perfectly Julie!

This is a fantastic photograph!
Great photo Julie. I was in Tacoma on Tuesday morning and happened to go into the old Union Station (which is now the Federal Courthouse). There was a whole row of the red glass reeds on display in the front windows and more Chihuly throughout the building. Of course it is only one block from Chihuly's museum.
Just beautiful! The bird puts it all together!
You do really take some of the most gorgeous photos, Julie. This one is just amazing.
Great shot. My oh my. I love that red and you caught that bird just perfectly.
