Pool at the Phoenician

Here is a view of one of the nine large pools at the Phoenician Resort.

You can see a view of the Papago Park Mountains, where the Desert Botanical Gardens is located. I like living so close to these great places in the Valley.

The pools at the Phoenician are very nice and have lots of trees and shade ramadas. We always need lots of shade in Arizona.

The Phoenician Resort and Spa is on 250 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain. It is a AAA five diamond resort and it has a great spa called Center for Well Being. The Phoenician

Very nice shot. You must have been on a high floor to get such an angle. The pool looks so inviting, wish I were there for the warmth too. Have a great weekend.

Clueless in Boston,
Actually, the photo was not taken from a high floor. The photo was taken from the terrace adjacent to the main lobby of the hotel. The pools are located below the lobby level, as the resort property slopes down from the base of Camelback Mountain towards the valley floor.

Here is a coincidence that provides a splendid compliment to your photo.

Today, Sharon's Phoenix Daily Photo site shows a photo from Papago Park looking back towards Camelback Mountain. It is the opposite view of the photo you showed today. The Phoenician Resort is at the lower right of Camelback Mountain in Sharon's photo, but is hidden by some bushes in the foreground of her photo.

What a coincidence! My photo on Phoenix Daily Photo today was taken from the Desert Botanical Garden looking in this direction.

Julie, what an amazing view of the Papago Park Mountains. What a great spot for a resort. And 250 acres is huge. What a job it must be to maintain that property in immaculate shape.

Such a beautiful resort! Look forward to more photos from there. You and Sharon must be on the same wave length.

Only nine pools? Goodness, what will the folks do? ;-)

Love photograph of an exquisite place which for most of us will probably remain a dream...

I was thinking the same thing. NINE POOLS! I'd look like a prune in no time flat.

Why is everything so lush there? It's amazing... I thought Arizona was one big desert, though that may just be my ignorance of the subject... Since discovering your blog, I've been having dreams of Scottsdale as it seems like paradise.
