Crazy 88 Butterfly

The Spring Butterfly Exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens runs through May 31.

I really like this photo so I decided to share it to commemorate the mariposas at the Butterfly Pavilion.  We can never get enough of these beautiful creatures.

I had no idea this particular type of butterfly existed. I thought in the portal that it was a work of art. And it is a work of art, but not in the way I expected. Wonderful shot!

I clicked on the comments to try to see if the butterfly is real or a work of art. Either way, it is very beautiful.

I can assure you all the crazy 88 butterfly is very real! He was hard to photograph and then he landed on this perfect colored table and I got lucky to get the photo. As you could guess, I took many photos of the always moving butterfly that did not turn out as well.

This is a great photo - perfect on the teal color table. Patience, again, pays off. (Have to remind myself that often.) Its "design" must camoflage it somehow.

We lived in Phoenix for one year about 20 years ago, and I never was honored to see such a gorgeous butterfly.

A piece of art, both the butterfly as well as the photo with these contrasting designs and colours!
