Scottsdale Fairmont Pool

Now you know why I asked you to come and take a seat yesterday. The comfortable chair faces this lovely swimming pool at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess. You also can see the golf course, a lake, and the beautiful blue sky.

The pool has lots of activities occurring. We sometimes like to use the cabanas so we have some shade. For us Zonies (this is the nickname for Arizonans), we always look for shade if we are out for extended periods of time.

Wow, it really looks like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Here in Vermont we seek the sun, any little glimpse of it, even when it's very weak in the heart of winter we'll gather where ever we can find a ray of sunlight.

You "Zonies" know how to live well! Wonderful place, great shot.

Brattcat,
Zonies like to brag that although Florida calls itself the "Sunshine State," Arizona has much more sun.

The sun shines 89% of the daylight hours of the year in the "Valley of the Sun," which includes Scottsdale and Phoenix. That is a higher percentage of daylight than any other major city in the U.S. The dry desert air intensifies the sun.

You've capture a very beautiful sky in this one. We don't often get a blue sky dotted with white puffy clouds.

Us Floridians always look for shade too Julie! We fight over shady spots in the parking lot! This is a lovely picture and I agree..it does look like an oasis!

Looks like a spot to sit and have a drink with fruit in it.

This pool is not familiar to me, but when in high school we used to swim at a pool in a park in Phoenix but the name escapes me...

Nice shot!
