The glow of the light before sunset catches the glass in a pretty manner. The tall red glass interspersed with the desert plants and the mountain in the background makes for a nice vignette.
The Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens ends in May. It has been a fabulous installation and we will all miss it!

What a pity it couldn't be permanent. It seems like such a perfect compliment to the natural forms.
Can't get enough of Chihuly! I don't know of anyone who isn't captivated by his glasswork.
Another gorgeous piece! The color reminds me of the flower birds of paradise!
I was just there yesterday and of course took a whole lot more pictures.
I would love for this exhibit or at least a few pieces of it to stay on but, yesterday I was surprised to hear one guest say she couldn't wait for them to take it down. She said she just hated it. Art is in the eye of the beholder.
That's beautiful, Julie! Hard to believe I'd never heard of Chihuly before.
Fantastic! Keep 'em coming! ;-)
oooh I would have loved to have seen this!
I am happy that I am not alone in not knowing Chihuly before your posts!
The most interesting thing about these fantastic works is how (and where) they are perfectly placed to blend with everything else around.
I love the Chihuly glass. I've been to his factory up in Tacoma - it's really amazing. But seeing the art out in nature like this is really a treat!
Great shot and the colours look fantastic
How beautiful! I wonder where Chihuly will exhibit next?
