This photo is from The Boulders Resort and Golden Door Spa in Carefree, which is on the northern edge of Scottsdale and the spa is excellent. The resort is exquisite, and it has residential housing as a component of this master-planned community. You can see how the housing design fits into the landscaping. You can see the bird nests burrowed in the Saguaro cactus, which is very common.
There is a great hiking trail called the Boulders Trail that I enjoy as it has beautiful views and amazing rocks. I will intersperse views from the hiking trail and around the hotel over the next few weeks. There is lots to show you from Scottsdale! To learn more about this resort, click The Boulders.

Hmmm. I've been to Carefree twice and didn't realize it's a part of Scottsdale! It's such a fascinating place.
I see the bird nests! That's very interesting. I never knew they made nests in the cactus.
This photo reminds it's time for a relaxing spa visit. Golf would be fun also.
This place is so beautiful. I love to drive out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.
This is a beauty, love those clouds.
Carefree. You just have to love that name!
I think the architecture is fascinating. Fits in the environment perfectly!
I really love the fluffy clouds in this photo, they don't look real!
Great composition, all elements are wonderful!

The road to Carefree inspired the Gordon Lightfoot song "Carefree Highway."
Oh yes, I remember when they were building this place! The resorts in Scottsdale are some of the best and have enjoyed most of them at one time or the other.
That looks exactly like the pond where I dunked nine golf balls in a row. Oh, I think that was someplace else.
