This particular horse and rider won the Arabian Mounted Native costume competition. They were the most spirited pair in the arena. They never stopped galloping, just like they would have been doing across the sands in Arabia, which is the point of this particular competition.

This photo really deserves the time to click on the photo to enlarge it in order to appreciate the detail of the outfit for horse and rider.
I love the way you cropped this photo. Beautiful.
The whole outfit is gorgeous and your composition is great!
Simply beautiful!
My wife rode hunter jumper growing up. These shots are super!
Oh wow, that costume is so fantastic! Thanks for both the long shot and the detailed shot. The beadwork and embroidery is magnificent!
Gorgeous! And beautifully cropped, too.
I grew up in Utah and one of the things I miss about living in the East is the absence of Native American and Hispanic culture. Granted, we have a lot of native peoples and a large Hispanic/Spanish/Latino population, but I never see the colors and culture here like I did in the West.
Fabulous!
Absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic detail! Well done.
This is a stunning costume. I like the previous one too. I would have enjoyed seeing an event like this; you describe it very well.
Intricate and absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these photos with us.
How beautiful. I had a friend who used to ride in parades where she was judged on the authenticity of her costume. I think she was dressed as a Kioawa (?) woman
Beautiful shot and great info.
These colors and design are beautiful. Appropriate for the winner.
Beautiful. Very nicely cropped too.
Very elaborate! The colours are wonderful.
