Muscular Arabian Bronze Horse Statue

WestWorld of Scottsdale is where the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is held.  Also, the Parada Del Sol Rodeo and annual Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction are held at this equestrian center and convention complex.

The magnificent bronze horse statue greets you at the entrance to the complex.  These horses are life-size and show splendid movement and speed.   I unfortunately could not determine the identity of the artist who created these excellent bronze horse statues.

The second photo shows the entrance area and the WestWorld signage, along with cactus and blue sky. This statue is right next to a major freeway and busy road so it is not that easy to get photos while dodging cars.

I really love the way, in the second photo, you give us a sense of your landscape. Amazing.

Your photos over the last week of real Arabians show that the power, fury and majesty depicted in the statue is not artistic license, but realism.

I see agave stalks in the second photo, after which the agaves will send out shoots of new plants and die.

I always have the same problem - trying to capture a good photo from a moving car. You did a great job though. Love this statue - the horses are magnificent.

Olivier
from Evry left a message leading me to your blog : the beautiful picture of horses you show could have been of Tognoni but I found out that “Horse World” is from the sculptor Snell Johnson.
Beautiful blog Julie, Chandler is not too far going south... and I am not part of DP -I should perhaps...lol-
