For today's worldwide Daily Photo theme of "mystery object" I am showing this sculpture. I invite you to guess what it is and why it is here. I will show more and explain this tomorrow and days that follow.
This week we have photos of the Music Palace in Barcelona, Spain on our
Viva la Voyage travel photo site. It is one of the most remarkable and beautiful buildings in the world.
It looks like some kind of futuristic sphinx. Nice choice for the theme day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a robo dog?
ReplyDeleteHmmm...it looks like it might be a horse.... Can't wait to find out.
ReplyDeleteVery cool sculpture Julie, it looks to me like a doggy version of the sphinx, looking forward to finding out WHY!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a coyote, maybe a Phoenix coyote? I'll be back tomorrow for the answer.
ReplyDeleteI know the answer, but I will keep it to myself so I don't ruin the mystery for others.
ReplyDeleteIt is probably some kind of sculpture, but I have no idea about the author...
ReplyDeleteA steel horse? I'm guessing because of the way the front leg is poised and the feet are shaped.
ReplyDeletePaying homage to the lowly coyote?
ReplyDeleteA Dog at a convention of fire hydrants?
ReplyDeleteI love this. A horse? Maybe a dog? I shall look forward to finding out. I love Birdman's suggestion!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's really a mystery object! I hope it won't be alive at any time.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a horse to me, but whatever it is, it is a beautiful sculpture!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the "Horse" group.
ReplyDeleteMaybe part of the Scotsdale Horse Arena?
Louis
A kind of robot horse- did someone local invent something famous to do with it?
ReplyDelete(thanks for the vote)
Agree with the horse. Impressive piece indeed. Please have a good new month you all.
ReplyDeleteTo me this looks a little cat-like or maybe even a cubist view of a wolf! Intriguing!
ReplyDeleteMy mystery photo has 3 birds. There is a rosella at the top and a magpie having a not so friendly tete-a-tete with a kookaburra about territorial rights. The tree, of course, is a eucalypt! You were nearly completely correct!
I have no idea what this big dog will be part. I think it's great and amazing.
ReplyDeleteHow about a Trojan horse?
ReplyDeleteOoh, Jack beat me to it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a smokestack for a fireplace. An odd one but to each his own.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. I love how they have transformed a flood plain.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I went to your post today (Sunday) before coming to this one. I'm not sure I would have made much sense of it from this angle but in context it is great!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see it especially when the water is running!
