Theme Day: Mystery Object

For today's worldwide Daily Photo theme of "mystery object" I am showing this sculpture. I invite you to guess what it is and why it is here. I will show more and explain this tomorrow and days that follow.

This week we have photos of the Music Palace in Barcelona, Spain on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. It is one of the most remarkable and beautiful buildings in the world.

    Very cool sculpture Julie, it looks to me like a doggy version of the sphinx, looking forward to finding out WHY!!

    Looks like a coyote, maybe a Phoenix coyote? I'll be back tomorrow for the answer.

    A steel horse? I'm guessing because of the way the front leg is poised and the feet are shaped.

    To me this looks a little cat-like or maybe even a cubist view of a wolf! Intriguing!

    My mystery photo has 3 birds. There is a rosella at the top and a magpie having a not so friendly tete-a-tete with a kookaburra about territorial rights. The tree, of course, is a eucalypt! You were nearly completely correct!
