Photo: Across Paradise Valley & Scottsdale

This is a view across Paradise Valley and north Scottsdale.  Does this look like the desert to you?

The McDowell Mountains on Scottsdale northeastern boundary are largely preserved, with hiking trails through the natural desert landscape.

    If we did not know better, one would not think that this is a desert that gets only 7 inches of rain per year.
