Photo: Scottsdale Farmer's Market

I mentioned that the Old Adobe Mission is across the street from the Saturday Scottsdale Farmer's Market.  Here is a photo of some of the produce.

They plan to keep the Farmer's Market open year this summer, although the summer hours are form 7 to 11 am.  After that, it is just too hot.

    Farmer's markets seem so much more friendly than a supermarket.

    Thiese vegetables look fresh and inviting. I have some ambivalence about farmers markets. They seem closer to the earth, and who doesn't want to support local farmers, but the conventional grocery stores pay property taxes, employ workers, are subject to health inspections, etc.
