Photo: Moonlight and Agave Flower Stalk

Here is a photo taken of the 20 foot tall center stalk filled with flowers that grew from the Blue Agave cactus in my yard.

I took this photo at night with moonlit clouds. The moon is very bright.

My cactus finally died but I did get some great photos to share of the center stalk shooting to the sky.

Check out the sculptured look of Santa Fe at Viva la Voyage!

  2. Although your agave has finally died, at least you will be able to enjoy the stalk when visiting some friends who are drying out the stalk to keep it in their garden.

  6. There was a story on BBC about 2 weeks ago, about an English couple brought back a small agave plant from somewhere south, planted it in their garden in Devon, went off to somewhere else for 2 months, came back and, oh surprise, the agave was 8 meters, 24 foot tall!
