Arizona became a state on February 14, 1912, the last of the contiguous 48 states.
I took this photo in Monument Valley to recognize the beauty of Arizona. The Arizona State Flag is on top, along with the Native American/US Flags. The Native Americans were here first so this seemed a proper recognition for this special day.
I am a fourth generation Arizona so I love Arizona and celebrate and applaud its diversity and strength.
I liked the symbolism and style of this image for Arizona's Birthday. Happy Celebration!
We have photos of Chicago during different lighting conditions this week on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.
This is an iconic image for Arizona's Centennial.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day and happy celebration of the Centennial !

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Julie. As I dug through my photo files looking for a photo to post today, I almost used a Monument Valley photo. That would have been quite a coincidence.
