Here is a smaller heron hiding in the trees at McCormick Ranch Park.We have a lot of birds along the green belt in Scottsdale.
Many are migratory birds. Some people would not believe we have so many birds even though we live in the desert.

Love to watch them along the greenbelt lakes. So graceful and when they fly they are really a sight to behold.

ReplyDeleteI used to think that herons and ibises and other shorebirds were restricted to the southeast, but recently I have seen them everywhere I go. It makes me wonder if they have always had a wider range or is the range is changing.
