Hummingbirds are so difficult to photograph. They are small, and they tease us by hovering in place for a moment, and then just as we are about to snap the shutter, zip, they move away, only to do the same thing again in a different spot.
I like to sit on our deck and "try" to get a good picture of the humming birds that feed at our feeder. Not easy. As Dave said, they flit when you are ready.
