Photo: Prickly Pear Cactus Buds

I liked the red square geometric background of the windows of the Paradise Valley Fire Station to provide a contrasting background for the green curving shape of these buds sprouting from the tope of a prickly pear cactus.

This is another of those scenes that one would probably not notice without a camera to cause one to look for opportunities for a juxtaposition with which to compose a photo.

We we have photos of the bottom of the Grand Canyon this week on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.
