Here is a macro photo of a multi-colored grasshopper.

Look at those red antennae and the bright blue leg.

The pink bug eyes are pretty cool too!

Before I got serious about photography, I was afraid of bugs and did not want to look at them very much.

Now, I am fascinated at looking at bugs through a macro lens. They make good models and interesting photos.

I used a macro lens and took these in the lovely garden of the Casa San pedro Bed and Breakfast.

The unusual and different plants attract all types of interesting insects.

You can see the butterfly tongue checking out the skin on his hand.

The butterfly seems very calm.

Now here is a photo of a bright green grasshopper.

It does not look real as it appears to be wearing lime green armour or something.

We saw the best insects while staying at Casa San Pedro Bed and Breakfast in Southern Arizona near the Mexican border.

Great photo opportunities. I need to go visit again.

I do not know the name of the plant. It truly is very tiny.

Macro photography helps you see such fine details that I would otherwise miss.

Paolo Soleri is known for making bells. We have several of his unique bells in our back yard.

Soleri bells look good and sound good. I can hear them in the house when the wind blows.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here is a photo of a perfect heart growing on a prickly pear or opuntia cactus.

I felt so lucky to see this little heart. It was a perfect image for Valentine's Day.

I saw this heart design in a wrought iron gate.

I took the photo and changed the exposure to white out the background.

I think the final image of the red heart looks rather cool and like it is lit with a pinkish hue.

I saw this very unusual motorcycle with a bright red heart as the shape to house the lights on the front of the scooter.

The image reminded me of Valentine's Day so I am sharing this photo to remind you to make reservations for dinner and to get flowers for your sweetie!

Here is a photo of a ladybug hanging on to the swaying thing weed.

You can see the blur of the tall trees behind the ladybug.

The trees were on the San Pedro River, which is right near the Mexico border in Southern Arizona.

We stayed at the most fabulous Bed and Breakfast called San Pedro Bed and Breakfast.

The place is known for bird watching as well. Great hosts and great breakfasts and home made pies.

Here is a photo of a thistle with dew drops.

It was very cold and we were out walking for a sunrise photo.

It was so cold, and so much dew, that my tripod and camera experienced so much condensation that water started dripping off them. I have never seen that happen before.

The hummingbirds love these types of flowers.

The slipper plant is a rather unusual looking cactus with long, slender, green tubular stalks.

On occasion, a flower blooms.
