Photo: Federal Courthouse

Here is a photo of the federal courthouse in downtown Phoenix. It is called the Sandra Day O'Connor Federal Courthouse.

The building has a large atrium that you can see through and then you go into the courtrooms from the atrium.

It is a very large building and the atrium makes for interesting architecture.

Photo: Veteran's Day Memorial

Today is a day to remember and give thanks to those who served in the military.

Here is a photo of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC.

We were there in the fall and took a number of photos while the leaves were turning red.

I find this image very special as it has fall leaves, the yellow wreath, the tiny US flags placed at the bottom of the memorial wall, and the reflection is great.

He has quite tough looking skin.

Photo: Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community

Here is a photo of the sign across the Salt River.

The sign is for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Arizona has 22 Indian tribes and right across the Salt River from Mesa and Scottsdale is the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

This tribe has been very successful and its current President is Diane Enos, a law school class mate of mine from many years ago. She is bright, committed, and thoughtful.

The Salt River sign is almost flooded completely.

This is high water. No question that those on the east side of the valley cannot cross the river except in only a couple of spots.

You can see how high the water is. This is the flood that blew out the dam at Tempe Town Lake.

Today is a day where many families celebrate those who have gone before.

Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is a time of celebration and remembrance of family members and friends who are no longer here.

I really like the Day of the Dead art and today's photo is an example. Oftentimes there is a lot of humor in this type of art.

Here is a photo of our local Scottsdale Trolley, which operates in the Old Town Scottsdale area.
