In this photo, you can see the tightly weaved twigs twisted into a round nest.
These little birds work very hard to create this nest. Does anyone know which birds made this nest? I think it might be finches.
Today is Sunday so that means new travel photos so check out the gorgeous Island of Hvar off of the Dalmation Coast at Viva la Voyage!
This is so symbolic of spring which is my favorite time of year, and I wish we were in that part of the cycle now since I always dread the onslaught of winter weather. It's a lovely photo, but, no, I don't know what bird builds that nest. One person who might know is Abraham Lincoln, another blogger.
ReplyDeleteThe nest is intresting, but I don't know nests... (maybe some -- pigeons, blackbirds... but not nests of american birds). How You made the photo?
ReplyDeleteNature is just so darn artistic all by itself, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBirds are excellent builders. They must have a good apprenticeship program.
ReplyDeleteTiny little work of art.
ReplyDeleteIt is a work of art!
ReplyDeleteBirds work so hard to build their nests. I don't know what bird made this but remember when I lived in Tasmania, we had swifts (or perhaps swallows) nesting under the eaves of the house and storms would destroy the nests and they'd start all over again. You wanted to say 'build somewhere else out of the wind and weather' but they kept at it.'

Beautiful and sensitive study of these magnificent shelters of Nature, the compositions and light are perfect, in particular the B&W is superb!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful nest. Amazing what birds can create!
