I am interrupting my photographic study of eggs and nest to show you what the sky and the mountain looked at right behind me while I was photographing the eggs.
It was a weird sky with light on Camelback Mountain but dark sky as the rain was getting ready to pour.

During the big storm that we had in PHoenix this week on Tuesday, I saw a similar view of Camelback glowing in the late afternoon sun, with a dark sky behind it, and at the same time there was a rainbow hitting the top of Pietstawa Peak. Alas, I did not have a camera.
Magnificent sky and light.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a dark, brooding sky, but the mountain maintains its magnificene!
ReplyDeleteFantastic colour contrast! Really dramatic.
ReplyDeletePeace!
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks scary!

ReplyDeleteIt's quite eerie how dark the sky gets in the middle of the day as these storms approach, You captured this nicely.
