Snake on Red Rock

Here is a photo of a green and white snake slithering over my path while I was hiking in Boynton canyon in Sedona.

The snake came slithering right after a light drizzle of rain. It was a harmless snake and quite pretty to see against the red rocks.

Check out fabulous photos of the Island of Hvar on the Dalmation Coast at Viva la Voyage!

  1. Wow...that looks like a long snake. Being those colors, at least it was quite noticeable!

  5. I wonder what the snake would write in his blog about the human who came across 'his' path...

  7. On Sunday down here in Costa Rica, I saw a snake. Unlike yours, he was lying in the mud of a river bank.

Also unlike yours, I could only see half of the snake. Why? because the other half of him was inside the mouth of a crocodile, being eaten.

I will show a photo of it in the future on my site.

  13. Nothing much to do - I suppose - when you're a harmless snake, other than slithering...

  14. Never seen a snake so far with me own eyes. With temperature close to 100F during midday it might take a while until it will rain next time.
With regard to life and the ciy, well, with strikes dayin, dayout it surely feels a bit strange. You probably saw some images on TV, with hundreds of Tourists waiting outside the Acropolis, as it was locked for many hours, maybe the same on Thursday ... it surely remains a challenge. Please have a nice Wednesday you all.
