Southwest Sunset

Today I wanted to treat you to a photo of an Arizona Sunset.

I hope you enjoy the colors of our Sunsets and the silhouette of the stately Saguaro cacti that adds just the right Southwestern touch to the scene.

Check out photos of the Kids and Animals of Tanzania, Africa at Viva la Voyage!

The back story is that you took this photo while hiking on Camelback Mountain and the ridge and cactus in the photo are rather high up on the south side of the mountain, overlooking Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the rest of the Valley.

That also means that you had to walk down the mountain, after the sun went down. I remember, because I was there. And you helped a child who had become separated from his family.

Ah... this is exactly what I longed for when we visited Arizona! What a lovely hike, and I love the "rest of the story" as told by Dave!

Thank you, Julie, for your concerned comment. I am fine -- a little overwhelmed and scattered more than usual, but still fine. ♥
